A Little About
​Your Librarian.

Hello Everyone,
​
      My name is Ms. Thompson and I am the librarian at Fennell Elementary School. I received my Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of South Carolina-Beaufort in 2014. In December 2019, I will be graduating from the University of South Carolina with a Masters degree in Library and Information Science. I have been teaching for five years. In my previous years of teaching, I taught second and third grade math & science. 

      I am delighted to be the librarian for this school. I love working in the library because I am given the opportunity to see all of the students from the school and interact with them. Through the library, I am able to promote reading with students, advocate for the library, and give students and teachers access to resources.

      I am here to help the faculty and staff and the students with any thing that they may need from the library. Feel free to come in to browse our collection of books, receive help with research, or collaboration. Remember that reading can open your eyes to new places and ideas.
